Tobacco-Free Now Website

In 2004 the OTC Tobacco-Free Advisory Committee, comprised of leaders from health care, education, civic, and the business community recommended, and OTC President Norman Myers approved, establishment of a Center of Excellence for Tobacco-Free Campus Policy to help those interested in making their campuses tobacco-free. In December 2010, the Center of Excellence for Tobacco-Free Campus Policy was transformed into the National Center for Tobacco Policy a not for profit ortganization supported by OTC and Drury University. The NCTP continues the work of the center but with a commitment to helping busiesses and other organizations in addition to colleges and universities.

Hilton Garden Inn’s LEED Signage

The Hilton Garden Inn Springfield is the first hotel in Missouri to be designed to meet Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold standards. (You can read more about those standards here.) Some of the sustainability features include a geothermal HVAC system in the pavilion and meeting areas, a salt water swimming pool, solar electrical system, full recycling and waste food composting system, and a public “green” building education program, just to name a few. Hilton Garden Inn wanted a system of signs throughout the hotel featuring information about each LEED-certified element. With some help from copy-writing genius Joe Donahue, Sugar created a total of 13 signs describing the goals and achievements of each LEED spot, and 1 brochure featuring a map of how to get to every one.

Bass Pro Shops Restaurant Family

Mother’s Brewing Company Packaging

Downtown Springfield’s new addition, Mother’s Brewing Company, has been receiving quite the buzz in anticipation for its big opening festivities May 14th. Sugar created identity and packaging for Mother’s three year-round beers, TowHead, Lil Helper, and Three Blind Mice. Now that the packaging is complete and the labels are printing, Mother’s fine brews will be on shelves (and in your thirsty hands) soon!

Doubletree Hotel Decides on a Jazz Night Logo

Doubletree Hotel has been supporting local jazz musicians with their new Friday Night Jazz events, every Friday night in the Atrium. They wanted to package and brand these nights, and Sugar stepped up to the plate.

Research & Development, Mercy St. John’s Medical Research Institute, debuted a booth at an esteemed trade show last week in Cleveland, Ohio at the Cleveland Clinic. The booth marketed and promoted the Secure360 Pediatric Prone Positioner, an invention of Dr. Bharat Shah, MD FACS. Secure360 Pediatric Prone Positioner is indicated for use during surgery for proper positioning of infants in the prone position while maintaining maximal visualization of the skull. It’s designed to provide rapid, safe and stable prone positioning while specifically protecting the infant’s eyes, neck, chest and extremities.

Sweet Picks Pastries in St. Louis, Missouri recently sent out a mouthwatering direct mail campaign designed by Sugar featuring Tiny Cupcakes - tiny morsels of perfection. Sugar’s design team also assembled a website for Sweet Picks, staged for a full launch at the beginning of 2011.

Hickory Villas - Identity and Much More!

Morelock-Ross Solutions and Sugar Design Studio have teamed up to breath new life into a prestigious development on the southeast side of Springfield. Sugar delivered a new identity package for the development including a logo, stationary and signage. With the logo finished and approved, Sugar has been hard at work with Mother’s Brewing Company’s beer names and package design. With an IPA, a Brown Ale and an American Blond Wheat you are sure to find a new favorite with downtown Springfield’s newest Brewery! Cafe Prevention Site Launch

Cafe Prevention’s new site launched September 15th. The Sugar team used Magento, the latest in open source E-commerce software.

Cafe Prevention, known nationwide but based in Springfield, Missouri, is a division of Community Partnership of the Ozarks. This non-profit division sells posters, board games, pamphlets & bookmarks to educate people on drug and alcohol abuse, violence prevention and other community issues.
